MK2 picks up world rights for Jia Zhang Ke's 24 CITY

Chengdu nowadays. The State-owned factory 420 shuts down to give way to a complex of luxury apartments called "24 CITY".
Three generations, eight characters : old workers, factory executives and yuppies, their stories melt into the History of China.

Gérard Depardieu and Olivier Marchal come together on screen with Aïssa Maïga and Asia Argento in the thriller DIAMOND 13.
Directed by Gilles Béat and adapted from Hugues Pagan’s novel L'Etage des Morts with Olivier Marchal, the film is produced by MK2 in co-production with Artémis (Belgium) and Samsa Film (Luxembourg).


With DIAMOND13, Gilles Béat returns to the thriller over 20 years after the success of Rue Barbare (1984).
Shooting started February 18, 2008 in Anvers (Belgium) and will last 8 weeks. The film is expected to be released in Fall 2008 by MK2.

Stockhausen - A life in Sound



The avant-garde German composer Karlheinz Stockhausen died at the age of 79. One of the most important and controversial postwar composers, Karlheinz Stockhausen helped shape a new understanding of sound through electronic composition.


MK2 presents moving documentaries around Karlheinz Stockhausen directed by Olivier Assayas: ELDORADO / CREATION (the secrets of creation of the new piece by the famous choreographer, AngelinPreljocaj), ELDORADO (the live recording of the complete choreography by Angelin Preljocaj based on the piece of Karlheinz Stockhausen) as well as STOCKHAUSEN / PRELJOCAJ (Conversations) about the world of creation and the art of the renowned German composer.
